I liked this book so much I bought the printed copy. To my disappointment, the hardcover copy I received from Amazon was printed on newsprint-like paper, with gray-scale print and graphics and images. Please see the attached pics. I called the publisher, Wiley, at the number provided in the book and they said the book is not supposed to look like this. They suggested buying directly from Wiley, as someone is providing Amazon with bad copies. If you want to read this book, buy the e-book and take some time to figure out how to buy the properly printed book - either in person at a bookstore, or maybe used version that is properly printed ?

Reads like a text book, we'll be referencing this one for a while. And now for seven more words why

I enjoyed reading most of the book. I wish the content made connections to the the arts/nonprofit industries more often but a lot of the information can be adapted.

The content of the book is interesting, but there are two things about the book that I hate. First, the gray color of the leaves and the illustrations of low quality. Second, the author very often uses jargon and informal words, which make me read the book accompanied by a dictionary.

A great overview of all the different marketing channels, with good insight.

Not all beat up and falling apart. Came in great shape and I am happy with that.

This book desperately needs a copy editor. So many grammatical errors! It makes reading the book difficult, and it makes one wonder if the important stuff in the book is equally as bad. This is a second edition, so this would have been a great opportunity to clean up the copy (the text). Sloppy, sloppy. And I only just finished Chapter 1.

I just finished reading Benjamin Mangold’s second edition of“Learning Google AdWords and Google Analytics” and found it to be a very timely, interesting and informative book.The authors expertise in the subject matter is obvious as you read through his not only easy to read, but simple to apply the content to, book.Mangold has worked closely with Google for over a decade. The very first trainer certified by Google in BOTH their AdWords and Analytics he is a bonafide expert in both of these areas.This 29 chapter book, divides itself equally among AdWords and Analytics.It is a fantastic resource and a valuable reference for anyone that is either just starting out using either or both of these Google platforms, and needs a primer, or for someone who has already been involved, has experience, but is looking to get current needing a refresher to bring them up to speed.Even the book’s index is comprehensive and thorough.In the book’s intro ...Mangold offers a companion website to accompany this book. This website provides updates, as changes are made, as well as additional resources the reader/viewer can apply to stay or become current.I give this book a two thumbs up, and suggest it belong on the bookshelf of entrepreneurs, digital marketers and small-mid size business CMO’s.

Benjamin Mangold is a known expert in the field of AdWords and Analytics. Google relies on him when it comes to training and seminars about these topics in Australia in New Zealand. He's the founder of LovesData, an agency which works quite successful on that stuff all day. He made up great courses and invaluable blog posts about AdWords, Analytics, and Google Tag Manager and even offers free lessons about these topics on his YouTube channel. He is a clever, kind, intelligent, humble and sophisticated guy who contributes to the community. I'm a fan of his stuff and I really like his style. He is on the same level and among such guys like Avinash Kaushik, Simo Ahava, Yehoshua Coren, Krista Seiden, Justin Cutroni or Brad Geddes.So this is the second edition of this book and as a first buyer of the first edition, I really can recommend buying the second one. I collect courses and books about all the stuff around Google AdWords, Analytics, Tag Manager, etc. and this book is one of my favorites, even as a German guy whose humble English can't describe my utmost respect. The book is "Google Analytics and AdWords for Dummies" without the feeling of being too dumb to understand the darn thing. The contact with beginners doesn't let him forget the difficulties (and there are some: ever tried to connect your YouTube channel with AdWords and Analytics via a brand account? Good luck!), but he doesn't stay there like a lot of books. He takes us on an interesting and promising journey to success. The things I miss as a European? GDPR! The thing I miss as a reader, who isn't color blind? Color! Sorry to say so, but: WTF? What reason is it, that the book is in b/w layout in the Kindle/eBook version? There isn't one, there can't be one. Change that. Period! The GTM chapter is much too small and mentioning the benefits of interaction not only between Analytics and AdWords but also Google Search Console, My Business, Optimize and especially the awesome and outstanding Data Studio would have been beneficial. Good job, Benjamin, but there's room for improvement. Send me the next edition for proofreading and I could tell you before release ;-)

Strange how another reviewer complained about the grammar, when this book is an invaluable investment in a subject, which is so critical for any online business these days. Wish I had come across this type of book years ago, so we could have avoided a lot of the voodoo science in the digital world.

These learn to read books are great! Nice illustrations to help them understand and not too many sentences on one page for easy learning! Perfect for my 5 year old.

I bought this for my early reader who loves to watch Storybots. It is a cute book that she enjoyed reading.

We love Storybots and this is perfect for my 6-year old learning to read.

Cute book!

I think content treats kids like imbeciles with pictures so unrealistic that I don't see how the kids even learn what the things are that it talks about (caves, craters, desert) and it personifies planets so much that there's no connection to reality. It's also narrated by rod-like characters (storybots) which seem very out-of-place and silly in distracting way. I can't give this to my grandson to practice reading because it would be un-learning critical thinking skills. It's useless for learning about planet earth in my opinion.

This map has a LOT of detail for a flip mat. I know people don't necessarily like these and many of the 5E players I know prefer TOTM to minis. I like using miniatures and this fit into my campaign perfectly. The detail in the map is FANTASTIC and the surface, as is usual with the Flip-Mat Classics, is easy to use and durable. If you want a simple dungeon to run but don't want to mess with drawing it out or customizing it, this is it!

I like the flip mats although I do have to say it might be better for Paizo to make individual buildings and things that we can lay on a flip-mat so that we can vary the setting. That is the single biggest drawback to using these items.

I had really high hopes for this book in the beginning, and since I read Epic Fail and liked it I thought this would be good as well.3 reasons why I DON'T like this book-1. The male leads in this book, Alex and Harry, had no charm to me (or it was too much try-hard charm that turned me off of the them completely). I did NOT like them at all. They had no appeal to me. This was a deal breaker for me, because when I read books like these I want to fall in love with the male character. I didn't.2. There was no real connection to who Franny ended up with in the end (I won't tell you who, but I might as well should, because you should not waste 9 something dollars on this book)3. Franny (the main character) comes off as spoiled and annoying to me. One example of this is she doesn't appreciate her aunt who's giving her a place to stay and paying her to work during the summer. This is just annoying.OVERALL-Don't buy this book. I don't want you to waste 9 something dollars on badly written characters and a poor like-triangle (yes, I mean like, not love).

Her mom arranges for her to assist her aunt with making and altering costumes for a summer theatre program at Mansfield College.Upon arrival Franny recognizes some familiar thespians – Julia Braverman, a friend she lost touch with, and her brother Alex, who she had a monster-crush on several years ago. Franny hopes a little romance might finally happen between her and Alex this summer, but her hopes are dashed as he seems to be immediately attracted to the sophisticated and gorgeous Isabella Zevallos. Franny feelings of disappointment and dejection start to disappear when super-flirtatious and fun Harry Cartwright starts paying her some serious attention over the other girls, the question is are his intentions as serious…Claire LaZebnik has a wonderful talent for adapting Jane Austen’s characters and themes into a story that is relevant, current, and accessible to Young Adult audiences today. It never feels forced or as if she is trying too hard. Her characters embody the right blend of maturity and youthfulness, sincerity and blitheness, seriousness and irresponsibility and I am overall impressed with the language and intimate understanding she revealed. Just like Amy Heckerling (Clueless) astutely understood high school students in 1995, Claire LaZebnik gets high school students of this generation.One aspect of this story I greatly enjoyed was seeing the contemporary reincarnations of Jane Austen’s characters. I liked seeing a flirtatious Henry (Harry) with questionable sincerity, a “good-guy” Edmund (Alex) who is guilty of being indecisive and sending mixed signals, a Marie and Isabella (Maria and Mary) who are appropriately desperate for male attention, and a Julia (Julia) who is unsurprisingly insecure and selfish. Readers who haven’t read Mansfield Park may not pick up how wonderfully these modern updates emulate their Regency counterparts, but I did, and I greatly appreciate the author’s creativity. I especially loved that Harry’s character had an extra special twist to it! As with many people who exude a strong and loud persona, there is always more hidden behind their mask…Those who cannot abide Fanny Price and find her priggish and dull will be delighted to find this representation of Fanny a little different. Franny is quirky, witty, unaffected and charmingly sarcastic. But, since she is at the theatre program as an employee and not a student, she still is an outsider looking in. While I have no issue with Jane Austen’s timid and virtuous heroine, I did find myself, for the most part, enjoying this alternate spunky version of Fanny. However, one aspect of her character that I wasn’t too fond of is her relationship with her aunt, (who is more of a complainer than a cruel shrew). Franny spoke negatively about her aunt several times and didn’t seem to appreciate anything her aunt did for her – such as her job, requests for time-off, free room and board. I know teenagers are often self-centered at this stage, but I found Franny lack of consideration and appreciation towards her aunt to be disappointing and uncalled for.These modern-day retellings by Claire LaZebnik are very deserving of praise and attention in both the Austenesque and Young Adult communities! I love the creative and perceptive ways she updates Jane Austen’s novels and brings out a story that is captivating and real to young audiences! I cannot wait to get my hands on The Last Best Kiss and Wrong About the Guy!Austenesque Reviews

Maybe 3.5 stars for entertainment value. This was a fun quick read about a summer for Franny Pearson. She's between her junior and senior year of high school and goes to work for her Aunt as a costume assistant for a summer theater program. She meets some fun new friends and reconnects with some old ones too. She has a busy and exciting summer working hard, making friends, flirting, and falling for two guys. There are a few crazy turn of events and Franny finds herself in new uncharteted places.This was a fun read that had me laughing several times throughout. It is fun and flirty and an easy read. It drew me in and made me laugh - I enjoyed it thoroughly after I got through the first one-third. It had a bit of a slow take-off.

I have to admit that Mansfield Park is one of my favorite Jane Austen novels, but I haven't read or watched it in forever. That being said, I was as excited as a small child sitting on Santa's lap when I got my hands on a copy of this book. I definitely lets you know that it is based on Austen's classic novel, but also takes some different turns. I mean, there aren't things like marriage proposals or war or affairs that ruin marriages. I mean it is set in High School for goodness sakes. But Mansfield itself makes an appearance. It's like "hey I'm a college called Mansfield, wonder where that name came from..."LaZebnik gives us all the things that you love about the story, but tweaks it in ways that makes it available and relatable to teens! Plus, it's just so darn cute that if the book had a face, you would want to pinch its rosy cheeks.I loved that acting and the kind of drama that goes with it played a large role in this book. A whole load of teens from all over audition to participate in Mansfield College's acting program and our main girl Franny ends up going, not as an actor, but for her summer job helping her Aunt make costumes. Of course Franny and her Aunt don't get along the best, even though they can still tolerate each other. But Franny doesn't mind much, because she gets to eat with and interact with the other kids in the program, when she's not sewing what they are all going to be wearing on stage, that is.She quickly realizes that her old pal Julia and Julia's sexy brother Alex are in the program, which gives her an in to the "it" crowd. Of course there are a slew of other cool kids that mesh into their group. Lawrence, Isabella, Vanessa, Marie and our other fellow of the novel Harry. The friendships and awkwardness that happen during the book were depicted well. Sure it was a little over the top, but I enjoyed the craziness of all of these guys lives. The drama world can be vicious and it was a great plot tool. Plus you got to learn about some really interesting versions and settings for Shakespeare plays. That's always a plus!Of course there was a triangle. Yeah, the love kind. But, there was even one back in the Austen novel, so it worked really well. I liked how LaZebnik was able to take a triangle with really adult themes and give it the high school once over without loosing much. I think it got a little over dramatic at times, but you just had to let it go and then go with it. Plus, Alex and Harry weren't always what they seemed to be either. The way the romance was weaved kept you interested in what was going on. It had the epic summer camp feel to it. The kind of romance that would be over too soon, but was still worth reading about.And Franny, well Franny was pretty great, even if she was sometimes really frustrating. I happen to like when a character frustrates you a bit and then gets all their ducks in a row by the end and you think that they're pretty great by that point. What's that called? Character development? Yeah, that's it and Franny had a lot of that going on with her character! She made you cringe and then made you want to give her a high five. All in all I dug it.So, would I suggest this to Austen fans? Yes, yes I would. But even if you've never touched anything of Austen's in your life, it's still a darling book. It's full of figuring out who you are and what you want. It's a delightful summer camp story that will make you want to go hang out with a whole bunch of actors and it's just a load of good old fun!

This is a sort of sequel to the earlier book "Patina Style," which has long been one of our favorite coffee table books. I see "Patina Farm" as an extension and expansion of the design sensibility known now as "patina style." This new book is a sort of manifesto on the patina aesthetic, showing just how far you can take it and what happens when you orchestrate an entire built environment around the approach. What you get here is a thorough overview of the entire property, which consists of a wonderful home, surrounding gardens, and then things like a functioning dock and orchard.One thing I was surprised to find in this book, and it's something I really like, is examples of actual landscape and architectural planning. While many of the pages feature such things as pristine sitting areas and carefully decorated walls, you also get some rougher pencil sketches of plans for such things as the fenced vegetable garden, a patio area, and other purposeful contours in the land. Books about interior decorating can make everything appear to almost magically take shape, as if through no work at all. This book shows some of the foundational work before hand that was essential in creating this aesthetic and the spaces that host it.With so many design books on the market, I like this one (and its predecessor) most of all because they fully indulge in a single approach and philosophy. Where other design books might represent themselves as "modern" or "DIY," they tend to shuffle through countless approaches to coordinating colors, textiles, and other material objects. This book is an extended treatise on a single approach and style, and by reading it you find yourself thoroughly saturated in this one perspective. In the way I see it, what comes out is a perspective on not only decorating, but on actually living.

This is a beautiful book, full of wonderful photographs of this pretty home. Interesting reading, and lots of sketches of the house to be built. I wonder as I read through it, why they chose miniature animals for pets , but they are truly cute, and everyone probably falls in love with this whole place.

Great book! Nice photography of a charming project. But what really set this work apart from many similar design books on the market are detailed yard and house plans and interior sketches with narrative and photography that nicely illustrates every area of the project and makes it easy for the reader to figure out where they are on the property.

What a fabulous book. I found this and their previous book Patina Style to be the most inspirational books in my library. The Giannettis make you feel as if you can achieve a lovely home no trouble at all. I would thoroughly recommend it and if anyone is interested in interior design these two books are a must. I hope there will be more to come by these talented people.

Lovely, just that, lovely. a beautiful read and the photos are so calming. a real step back from our over stimulated world to a gentle place of soft colors and soft surroundings. I am modeling my tiny piece of mother earth after their garden and it is slowly becoming my escape from the clatter of the everyday world. mr. b has drawn the line at the donkeys, goats and chickens though. don't think it will get past our cc&r's.
