I bought these cards because I liked how the images appeared in the photo to be hand drawn illustrations instead of computer generated graphics. Unfortunately, the version in the photo is the older version and the never version has been updated to computer generated graphics... in other words, the item does not match the image shown. I will use the cards with my son, but I find the computer graphics to be less charming.The problem is that the School Zone Company does not change their product codes with new versions of the same product even when there are changes between versions. Then sellers list their item by the product codes and end up with all of the versions under one image so you don't know really what you are buying. Fortunately the cards are pretty much the same between the two versions I compared.

I bought a bunch of these cards for my son because he was having a little trouble in school. Having ADHD, it is hard for him to focus on something "boring" for long. These cards have been a lifesaver for both of us. He can focus for way longer than if we were doing it just on paper and we even make it a game at times.These are the ones I bought and have used with great success:-Time and Money-Phonics Made Easy-Sight Words-Alphabet-Math War

There is a debate over whether whole-word instruction or phonics is better for learning to read. The scientific evidence convincincly shows that a phonic/phonetic approach is better for developing knowledge of encoding/decoding rules of language. A child who only learns whole words will have a tougher time spelling, and may guess at pronunciations or meanings of new words within his or her vocabulary, whereas things are just easier with phonics due to greater contextual knowledge of even new words. That said, the approaches are not mutually exclusive-- even though phonics should be learned, learning common sight words as well can greatly increase reading confidence and speed (fluency).Each of these whimsically illustrated cards features a front with a phoneme, either a single letter (in upper and lower case) or combination. The front features multiple illustrations related to the same sound-- for instance, "ch" might show a chicken on a chair holding a cheese. These may improve recall by serving as mnemonic aids; it's hard to forget a combo like the one just mentioned.On the back is a smaller illustration in single color, with a list of words in large bold type featuring the letter or combination. Many of the cards also feature a smaller list at the bottom of more advanced words with the same letter or combination, adding to the reusability of the cards as the child grows in knowledge.I highly recommend these cards. They are a fun, easy introduction to phonics that will give a child an advantage in learning new words for the future.

I thought my 7 year old daughter would be bored with these, but the pictures keep her attention. She really likes the cards.The cards consist of all the letters of the alphabet and two letter combinations, like "sn", "th", "fl", etc. Each card has a picture on the front, and several word examples on the back of each card. I think this is great for visual learners because as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. It's far easier for my child to picture a crow wearing a crown than to memorize what "cr" sounds like.The only reason I give it four star instead of five is because I wish it had three or four letter combinations, like "ion", or "ough". But overall, very happy with my purchase and it serves it's purpose very well.

Wish it was more of phonics and not just more than half the deck being the basic alphabet. My pictures shows the few phonics and digraph list. There also seems no rim or reason to the color of the edges.If you are looking for more phonics and blended letters, I'd pass on this one.

These phonics flash cards are cute and fun for the kiddos. I bought these for a long car trip and they do seem to keep the kids occupied for awhile. Plus they are learning something.

We love working with our grandkids as they learn the sounds letters make. These cards r great for that, they have 2-letter combos and pictures to go with them. Makes learning fun!

My son prefers these to a lot of other flashcards, and these are all words that are on his Kindergarten "need to know" list. Arrived the next day.

My favorite growing up and now my toddler loves it

I purchased this book (as well as all of the other Dr. Seuss books) as soon as they became available for the Kindle. It helped that there was a great promotional price at the time but the real motivator was to have them for my, at that time, infant grandson to read.Fast forward a couple of years and I realized that while the Kindle version is great to have (especially when on-the-go), nothing really replaces having the actual book in hand for a toddler. My grandson is now almost three years old and can handle the delicate process of turning thin, paper pages. He loves to sit and “read” books to himself or to his baby sister. Because of this new realization, I have decided to pick up the books in this series in hardback format.“Green Eggs and Ham” is one of the wonderful books I remember from my own childhood and I love the book's rhymes and illustrations. It was one of the Dr. Seuss books that I purchased and read to my children when they were young. We still have those old books but I gave them to my daughters when they moved away from home so they could keep an important piece of their childhood with them. I now get to have the opportunity to buy them again and enjoy reading them to a new generation.

I was hesitant to buy this book (that I love) because of so many negative reviews regarding paper quality. I actually removed it from my cart and then went to a book store to see the quality for myself. Yes, it is true that you can see some of the impressions of the previous page through the current page. However, I did not find it distracting in any way. I did not think it was a sign of poor paper quality. I thought the quality of the book felt as good as the one I had as a child. Because the images contain a lot of black lines and dark green ham :), I think it is inevitable that some of these lines will show through. Please, still consider buying this book. Please, still consider buying any/all Dr. Seuss books. I am so glad I bought this despite the reviews on paper quality. My husband read it before I wrapped it as a gift. He loved it and had no issues either!

Who DOESN'T love Green Eggs and Ham? Heck, even mister Grouch Guy liked Green Eggs and Ham after the story was over! You do not like them, so you say, try them, try them, and you may! He would eat them with a goat, he would eat them on a boat! In the rain, in the dark, on a train, in a car and in a tree, they are so good so good you see! He would eat them in a box, he would eat them with a fox. He would eat them in a house, with a mouse! He would eat them here or there, he would eat them ANYWHERE! He does he does so like green eggs and ham, he does he likes them, thank you thank you, Sam I Am!Beginning readers love this book for it's simple words fun story, and silly (but sneakily educational) simplistic didactic rhythm of the poem, which helps young readers to learn and remember (ask yourself why you still remember the words to this book after so many years!). Additionally, it enforces the lesson to TRY something, even if it looks weird, you may like them! You cannot say you don't like something until you have tried it!

This is the greatest story ever written. The doctor should have been hyped to Dr. Suess PhD, DDS, MD OvLuv because the man can spin a tail that brings tears to the most masculine of eyes. If you are into that whole men need to be tough thing. During my life, people have tried to argue for other books in the Seuss library, but those folks are wrong. Opinion does not even play a part.Stanford University did a study on the perfect combinations of words and then applied the equation to every book ever written. Green Eggs and Ham came out with the highest score. In fact, the second place score was 50% of the GEaH score. Don't bother looking it up because there are RFbF (Red Fish blue Fish) members that have infiltrated the librarian society and erased all of the evidence.It's a damn shame when people are still trying to deny the WORD. They have created songs to distract you telling you that the bird is in fact the word. Well it isn't the word, Kyle!

It is my favorite children's book. I bought it for my grandchildren and look forward to reading it to them. I want them to grow up enjoying the feel of a book; the sound and the motion of turning each page. It is a sensory delight that should be indelibly imprinted into their memories as was mine. A gift of togetherness and love they can share with the young ones that come into their lives in years to come.You can't beat Seuss, but you can add Shel Silverstein & Graeme Base to your collection too!Good price.Hardback slick surface makes it easy to wipe clean.

I got this for my little brother, wanting him to read the books his older siblings used to read as children, and this edition is so cute! They're CUTOUTS that show you different parts of the pages and it's just the most brilliant thing. Not only does it keep his attention, it lets him help me when I'm reading; he loves pulling the pages apart to let me read the next passage. I really like this.

This book was to start my newest grandson on the Suess books for Christmas. All my grand children have all the Dr Seuss books and they are all gifted children. The supplier was very good about packaging and sending it out promptly. I recommend them to anyone. The Seuss books are Classics and despite what the politically ignorant Librarian said about them they are Classic books that stimulate the mind and imagination which i feel is why they have been around so many years and are still doing their magic on our bright young minds.

Make sure you have a big screen for this one, because the images aren't scalable. its basically the same picture you'd get if you opened the book flat, and took a picture from above. you can click on the words to make them bigger, but the picture on a phone isn't that great because its so small. On a tablet, though, its much better.

Baby lit books are our all time favorite books! They are small books, but that does not underestimate the goodness inside. We have ordered just about all of the baby lit books and love to swap them out during seasons and holidays. I also love that they have different primers and different types of learning for your little one. These books are great gift ideas, there are a lot of genres to choose from. The artwork and colors are bright and vivid, very pleasant to look at. The mommy and the teacher in me loves and approves these books!

The book itself is very cute, I love it! However, the "new" copies I ordered did not appear to be new at all. There were scuff marks and dents on the front and back covers. I know something is up because I ordered a few of the Midsummer Nights Dream book from the same collection, and those all arrived in great condition. Very disappointed as I'm giving these as a gift to my preschoolers.

I realize that this is a children's book and only meant to teach counting, but I couldn't help noticing a major inaccuracy that I (as a Language Arts teacher) do not really want my child to grow up thinking because she may be a bit confused when she actually reads the play. I am referring to the page that speaks of friends and labels most of the men from the play as "friends". When I read this page (to my 6 month old daughter mind you), I found myself saying (imagine the reading voice for a young child here while pointing) "But they aren't really friends because he kills him, and he kills him, and he kills him". Otherwise, I LOVE the book!

This board book is super cute for the sheer fact that someone has turned R&J into a children's board book. The art is very pretty, but I was definitely hoping for a little more on the inside. I agree with the people who said the number 2 should be for 2 households and I agree that the 5 friends are not all friends! But my 16 month has no idea about Shakespeare and she's happy to throw the book at our cats. She also enjoys reading it upside down, so go figure. I'm happy because the book is cute and she's happy because she has a new book. I ordered Pride and Prejudice so we'll see how that one turns out!

We bought 5 Babylit classics and Romeo and Juliet is my son's favorite. He eagerly anticipates the last page where I give him "10 kisses" really fast and sometimes likes skipping to it. The pictures are colorful and he likes touching these more than his touch and feel books.

Great introduction to Skakespeare for little ones. Reading this introduces young children to important vocabulary.

Very easy to convey the story.

Great way to introduce small children to the classics.
